Go Deeper Within

When progress in meditation and peace of mind seems slow and frustrating, this is always a Call to go deeper within. There is a tremendous fear of looking within, for the ego has convinced the sleeping mind that God will punish those that have “left” Heaven.
Christ teaches in the Course:
To learn this course requires willingness to question every value that you hold. Not one can be kept hidden and obscure but it will jeopardize your learning. No belief is neutral. Every one has the power to dictate each decision you make. For a decision is a conclusion based on everything that you believe. T-24.in.2
This course will be believed entirely or not at all. For it is wholly true or wholly false, and cannot be but partially believed. And you will either escape from misery entirely or not at all. T-22.II.7:4-6

Letting Go of False Identity
What needs to be forgiven is the belief that God had anything to do with the time-space cosmos of duality and multiplicity, sickness, pain, suffering, and death. Who You are in Truth is far beyond the need for forgiveness, yet the illusion of false identity must be forgiven or released that True Identity may be remembered. Ideas leave not their source W-167
In Heaven this idea means Christ remains in the Mind of God and can never really “leave.” With regard to this world, the idea means that there are no problems apart from the mind because ideas leave not the mind which seemed to think them.
All things that seem to be “manifested in the world” are really thoughts and concepts. And thoughts and concepts never leave the mind that thought them. The ego’s attempt at projecting thoughts to a seeming “outside cosmos” is delusional because everything is mind and there is therefore nothing “else” at all. This is also why all seeming illness is mental illness and has nothing to do with bodily symptoms.
Salvation or Enlightenment is therefore nothing more than escape from false concepts that have no reality or existence. This brings an end to the illusory idea that there can be an “inner” and “outer,” for mind is one in forgiveness and Mind is One in Reality. “Ideas leave not their source” Awakening through a Course in Miracles
Awakening
The experience of Awakening is truly profound. To know One Self is to be alive as Spirit. The experiences perceived through the five senses may seem real during the undoing, the release of false belief, yet the experience of the Present Moment is inevitable. There comes a Moment in which the world is seen to be past – and this Moment is the Moment of Freedom. In the Present there is no process. It seems to require leaps of faith only because faith has been placed in illusion and must be withdrawn from error. The perceived world of opposites was the attempt to deny the Oneness of Reality, and as the desire for peace calls the experience of peace into awareness it is obvious that peace is without an opposite.
Here is the key: Listen within... the steps are obvious to a willing mind.
First, it must become apparent that duality is not the home of our Self, the Christ. It is therefore impossible to be content and happy in duality. All restlessness is simply the fear of Waking. The dreamer of a dream must be aware of dreaming to awaken from the dream.
The awareness that leads to Waking is forgiveness of illusion. To forgive is simply to see the false as false, and there are no exceptions to this state of mind. It is impossible to achieve partial forgiveness. Forgiveness must be experienced completely to be experienced at all.
Christ is calling you “out of the world” and, as the meaning of this statement is first glimpsed, it is apparent that there is literally no way to participate in the thinking of the world and simultaneously “Know thyself.” Truth and illusion have no meeting point. Perfect Love casts out fear and Light abolishes darkness.
The Guide within first leads inward toward an experience, an adventure, a discovery of the awareness of dreaming. In this state of awareness, it is always apparent that nothing real is happening in the world. The forms seem to shift and change, the dream figures seem to come and go, yet the substanceless nature of appearances, the fabric of the dream, can no longer deceive the dreamer. The illusion of control has no attraction or allure from the Perspective that arises from thinking with God. Dream softly of a sinless world, devoid of judgment. God does not judge, for there is literally nothing to judge between. Forgiveness might be called the acceptance of a wholeness that knows no parts.
Often spiritual awakening is associated with giving up something. This false association springs from the belief in lack, which was the impossible attempt to deny wholeness. What God creates is forever whole and knows not of lack. There is no need to give up something that never existed. The illusory nature of dreams is obvious when the wish to separate has been released. Instantaneously it is evident that wholeness never went anywhere, for it is ever so. Willingness to Awaken also includes the release of the desire to get out of here, for in the discovery of wholeness there is no here nor there. It is impossible to pursue or fight to escape something without “seeming” to reinforce the belief that something other than wholeness exists. Wholeness transcends all apparent seeming.
If Christ is real the world is not. Spirit comes not into time-space. Awakening is the recognition that Spirit is real and Identity in God is changeless. The body has no meaning because Mind is One and Spirit is One and there is no gap in what is forever One. Withdraw faith from the illusion of meaning projected onto time/body/world and the awareness of Present Meaning is apparent as All. I am Spirit. Rejoice in this Fact! Thank You God for creating All as One in Spirit!
Following the thinking of the Holy Spirit is easy, as there is no desire for something else. Awakening is natural and only seems difficult if appearances are given value. Yielding to What Is
Follow your heart on a journey of discovery. Listen to the Voice within and do what It says, even if it sometimes doesn’t make sense according to what you believe are your “personal” best interests.
Your passion to discover the Truth will guide you on and draw others along with you. The journey is about forgiving the past and remembering the Love that is ever-present. Love waits only for welcome and acceptance. When the heart is ready, the witnesses will appear. If you make ready the Altar of your mind, God will come into awareness. God is always present.
Innocence is unfettered by the laws and ways and thinking of the world. With faith to just take the next step, Life takes care of Life. Contentment and happiness come from simple nonjudgment, extending love, and letting go of the idea that you really know what anything of this world is for. The journey is simply a yielding or surrender to What Is. When you give up trying to control the direction of the wind, the feather of Serenity will gently make its way to you.
